Present Continuous (affirmative form)
O Present Continuous é o tempo verbal utilizado
para expressar ações que estão acontecendo no
momento em que as falamos ou as escrevemos.
Em sua forma afirmativa, esse tempo verbal
será marcado pelo uso dos verbos “am”, “is” e
“are”, seguidos do verbo principal da frase com o
sufixo –ing.

Vamos ver os exemplos:

I am wearing a pair of boots.


You are wearing a sleeveless shirt.
She is wearing a jacket.
He is wearing pants.
We are wearing shoes.
They are wearing T-shirts.

Perceba que o verbo “be” será flexionado no presente


simples, de acordo com o sujeito da oração. Já os
verbos ligados a ele recebem o sufixo –ing. Continua...
