Parents can be very convincing, right? I’ve been constantly advised to consider the pros and cons
before making decisions and never to follow my instincts. When I was about to graduate from high
school, my mother told me to study business administration in college because I was supposed to take
over our family business. Then, in the year after I graduated, I told her that I had made a horrible decision;
therefore, I needed to go after my real passion. I wanted to make a difference, help people, save lives,
which is very important to me. I wasn’t cut out for medical work, hence my decision to become a
police officer. My mother almost had a heart attack when I announced my decision, but now she’s OK
with it because she knows I’m happy. For instance, last week, we recovered an old lady’s car that had a

Creativity and innovation are related, but they are not the same thing. One could say that
there is creativity in innovation, but is there innovation in creativity? Not necessarily. Being
