1. INTRODUCTION

Angola LNG is operating a LNG plant in Northern Angola, near Soyo to liquefy and export gas produced
from offshore Angola fields.

Gas is taken from LNG plant to supply the domestic users located in the new industrial area near Soyo.

A Distribution Gas Pipeline (DGP) will be laid between LNG plant and the Gas Receiving Distribution
Unit (GRDU).

This gas will be filtered in the GRDU and distributed to load users in particular the new power plant.

The FALCÃO PROJECT EPC consists in the review and updating of the DGP and GRDU FEED
UPDATE prepared in 2013.

2. SCOPE

The purpose of this document is to give the list of the safety equipment, to be provided for the FALCÃO
PROJECT FEED EPC.

Safety equipment are involved in fire and gas detection, fire fighting and miscellaneous safety.

No new safety equipment shall be installed on DGP inlet area. Therefore this document will only focus
on GRDU.

Notes:
1- 2 UV/IR flame detectors shall cover the transformer area.
2- 2 UV/IR flame detectors and 2 thermostatic heat detectors shall be provided in the diesel
generator enclosure.
3- Smoke detectors shall be provided in rooms of the technical building as follows: 1 in
control room + 1 in false ceiling, 2 in electrical room, 2 in instrumentation room, 1 in break
room, 1 in guard room, 1 in storage room, 2 in corridor, and 6 in false floor, for
warehouse 10 smoke detectors (detectors to be provided in a CDI system, for technical
and warehouse building, not on F&G PLC).
4- 3 temperature sensors in the outlet stack of the incinerator (to be supplied with incinerator
package).
5- 3 flammable gas detectors in the air intake of the incinerator.
6- 1 inert gas total flooding system shall be provided in the enclosure of the diesel generator
(to be supplied within generator enclosure package, if diesel generator is in an
enclosure).
7- 1 twin agent skid shall be provided to protect the scrubber (refer to GRDU-EG-SEG-05-
002 for specification of this equipment).
8- 1 in transformer.
9- 1 in control room, 2 in electrical room and 2 in instrumentation room.
