Summary
This article presents and discusses the painting project with natural pigments
and questions about prehistoric art developed with students from the Alaíde
Silva Santos Full-Time High School. The beginning took place with the
elaboration of pigments from the crushing of rocks collected in the Araripe
plateau, after this stage, the production of paints and experimentation in initial
painting exercises such as creating a palette and tonal gradation took place.
This was followed by the study of prehistoric art and pre-Columbian peoples,
focusing on graphics present in regions of Brazil, such as Serra da Capivara, in
Piauí, and the Marajoara culture, on the island of Marajó, in Pará. The main
objective is to provide students with the possibility of experimenting with
painting with natural pigments that are easily accessible and produced by the
students themselves, and to strengthen knowledge of the history of Brazilian
prehistoric art, problematizing certain views about pre-Columbian peoples in
historiographical discourse.
1. INTRODUÇÃO
impulsionando a criatividade.
cultura.
