Abstract
Knowledge of anatomy and facial beauty is becoming more and more essential for a
successful treatment with injectables. A temporary treatment option to be offered to
patients seeking aesthetic tissue compensation is filling with hyaluronic acid, especially
in patients who are not well accepted by orthognathic surgery. This present clinical
report aims to describe the filling of the mandible, using 17 mls of hyaluronic acid and
to attenuate its facial features. The result was satisfactory, with contour and profile
changes, volumetric correction and improvement in facial harmony.
