Ao fim desta revisão de literatura pode-se concluir que inúmeros são os fatores
causais da hipersensibilidade dentinária e, dentre eles, podemos citar a recessão
gengival, lesões não cariosas, apertamento dental, dieta erosiva ou clareamento
dental, e diversos são os meios de tratamento, sendo o aconselhamento dietético,
uso de creme dental com agente dessensibilizante, a obliteração dos túbulos
dentinários, uso lasers ou vernizes fluoretados. Desta forma entende-se que é
necessário realizar um diagnóstico preciso e detalhado para que se entenda qual o
fator etiológico da dor do paciente, para então planejar e aplicar o tratamento que
proporcionará alívio da dor ou até mesmo irá cessá-la.
