ABSTRACT: The main objective of this article is to analyze the benefits and
harms of work, highlighting the professional areas most affected by stress. It is
based on the assumption that motivation is essential for the team to develop its
work activities in the organization, which is a space marked by constant
tensions, hence the need to motivate and value the team in order to obtain a
positive organizational climate. The aim of this study is to demonstrate that the
quality of work life within organizations is very important, however the lack of

this quality ends up affecting the worker's health, generating at the same time
several psychological illnesses resulting from this stressful work environment.
The article proposes to approach that the number of employees who need to
leave the work environment due to psychological diseases has increased
significantly in the last decades, since this motivation has become an
indispensable element for organizations to achieve success, because it is
through motivation that the organization manages to develop effective work
before its staff. The working method used in this article was a bibliographic
review based on the view of authors who deal with important considerations
about the theme addressed. The aim of this work is to improve studies on the
subject and, consequently, highlight the main psychological illnesses capable of
taking employees away from the work environment, and how bad this can be for
the organization and what better ways to avoid it, given that most people who
suffer from illnesses such as stress and depression are the result of a tense
work environment, full of conflicts that end up affecting the quality of life of the
worker.
