1 INTRODUÇÃO
2 REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
2.1 Vírus
comprovado que o H1N1, responsável por 16000 mortes desde seu surgimento
em 2009 até fevereiro de 2010, apresenta similaridade com o vírus responsável
pela gripe espanhola de 1918, esclarecendo assim a dúvida do porque os idosos
(pessoas nascidas no início do século 20) apresentaram maior resistência a
pandemia de 2009. Uam vez que para crianças e individuos jovens o agente se
comportou como um vírus completamente novo, levando a diversas mortes. Já na
população acima de 65 anos o vírus encontrou imunidade preexistente, se
comportando como um vírus sazonal.
vírus. Tal fator é responsável pela degradação da proteína quinase ativada por
dsRNA que induz a síntese de IFN em células infectadas por vírus.
Diante de todos estes eficientes mecanismos aos quais diferentes vírus
podem recorrer para evadirem a resposta imune do hospedeiro fica evidente a
importância do melhor entendimento de tais mecanismos na tentativa de
combater estes agentes.
