ABSTRACT
This paper aims to inspire reflection on the participation of actors with different
bodies in contemporary theater from the perspective of brechtian poetics. Thus the
study concurrently conducts an investigation on the production of stigma and how
they are established, spread and interfere with the sociability of human beings
considered normal and those with different bodies, as well as in doing theater.
Regarding the brechtian theater to light in contemporary poetry, the text
demonstrates that before the new form of political and social domination, nothing, not
even flee the body of marketable metrics, where the sovereign power of the image
sets the standard for perfect body , forgetting the various functions that the body can
perform either complete or not, and it is this sense that the actor with differentiated
body, which is routinely stigmatized, ostracized social, because it provokes and
unsettles the image traditionally ascribed to the human body "perfect" has the
opportunity to question, expose and subvert the spectators along the entire process
of stigmatization of people with different bodies in the scenic arts and contemporary
society.
