Abstract: Antisocial personality disorder is a disorder in which the individual has difficulty
expressing emotions, such as empathy and compassion, which is why they can develop
problematic relationships as they are not concerned about the well-being of others. Thus, they
tend to lie, break laws, act impulsively and disregard their own safety or the safety of others.
Signs of the disorder may begin to appear in childhood, but it is not possible to diagnose the
condition until adolescence or adulthood. The article presented aims to explain what antisocial
personality disorder is and how it works and its relationship with conduct disorder. The best
treatment methods will be discussed, for a better quality of life for children and adolescents
who present aspects of this disorder and a better coexistence with their families and
acquaintances. Aiming to answer questions about Antisocial Personality Disorder, thus
educating the reader about mental illnesses and their particularities. With the research, it was
concluded that the family, as well as children's professionals, is fundamental for the
