Abstract
The paper is the author's personal reflection about one of the most important
themes of the psychotherapeutic approach. In these times, especial1y, the num-
ber of psychotherapeutic techniques is increasing at an alarming rate, to provide
answers to the mental health needs of modem man, frequent1y without episte-
mological underpinnings which make them believable. The author discusses suc-
cessively the terms: process, change, and the relation between process and change
in psychotherapy. The basic philosophy of the author's thought, in his exposition,
is phenomenological-existential. The paper is presented with the classic divisions:
introduction, body, and conclusions, and does not present a bibliography, because
it is a personal methodological reflection of the author. .
